Introduction from a fan in the US
Discussion
Hello, everyone. What a great website!
I just recently talked with Craig Bramscher of Brammo Motorsports, the manufacturer of the Atom in the USA. He seems like a very nice, very talented man who is also very fair. He's not taking any deposits without knowing a final price, nor will he accept overpayment in order to get an earlier car.
He said that he's found General Motors easier to work with than Honda, which seems odd, considering the successful partnering of Ariel and Honda in the UK. As a result, he may be fitting more cars with the GM EcoTec engine. If you're unfamiliar with the EcoTec, take a look at GM's "build book":
http://www.gm.com/company/gmtunersource/html/race_shop_build_book.htm
It has recipes for building amazing amounts of horsepower. Most recently, the EcoTec has been breaking landspeed records at the Bonneville salt flats this past week.
I haven't even seen an Ariel Atom yet in person. However, after reading about it, and of course after seeing Jeremy Clarkson's entertaining review for Top Gear, I'm going to order one as soon as they become available.
I've spent a number of days in formula cars at both Jim Russell and Skip Barber racing schools, and have always wanted something similar for the street. I reckon I've found it in the Atom.
I'll keep reading everything I can find on the Atom, waiting until Mr. Bramscher's open for business!
Are there many other USA-based fans here?

I'm still confused, because you'r not who I thought you where, but at least the search engine on google is good for something;
Of his bones are Corrall made:
Those are pearles that were his eies,
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a Sea-change
Into something rich & strange
Sea-Nymphs hourly ring his knell.
Harke now I heare them, ding-dong, bell.
So is there a clue in this as to who you are? Or are we both pissed me at midnigt, respectable, you at midday!!

They are some sort of Antipodean marsupial, yet too small even to be the smallest wallaby, the Tamar or Scrub Wallaby. Pardon my ignorance - are they some sort of kangaroo rat? Or Ariel mascot?
Just to keep your education up to date. There are called Quokkas. Exclusive to an island off Perth.

Ah, you took me for the rugby player or the Welsh MP. Once when in London the receptionist at the hotel desk swore I had paid my bill, and showed me it on the computer screen. Like an idiot I pointed out her error. But I have met and ... known ... Catherine Zeta Jones. (Watch out for that remark thrown back at me later by some PH punk.) Pleased to see your are a man of some sensibility by quoting the Bard.
How to un pick this then? I am Welsh by name, but English born. CZJ is a .... unreaptable and sueable commet, as we know the two of them are won't to do, women.
A thread after this one talks about my seat, in the English context, I like a beer must be my Welsh roots.
Your an interesting contributor. I will reply to somemore of your topics.
