Puff is going to be at Silverstone on the Gold Track evening event on 15th August. GP circuit. £135.

Anyone else fancy joining? I'm going with a mate in a Crate.

Atomless at the mo, but may well come along and try and blag a passenger ride!

Or if they're not full, I could always give the Transit another chance to stretch its legs ...I'll go get some new rubber fitted to it, just in case...

Is it the full GP circuit? What's it like in the Atom?

What's it like in a Transit more to the point...

I should think the full circuit'd be awesome - especially in a supercharged Atom. Would be interesting to see how far off an F1 car it would be (I'n guessing quite a lot).

The Maserati 'trofeo' race pole time was 2:01 at this years GP, the F1 pole was 1:19.

The massers put out about 415bhp and I imagine weight around a ton, possibly more, so more in the atom 220 power to weight zone.

thus my guess is the atom 300 would be less than 40 secs behind an F1

...and the Transit?

75bhp ...and 1174kg last time I weighed it...

They put a F1 car around the Top Gear circuit - I can't remember the times but the difference was quite staggering.

I think it did the TG track in under 1 min 'vs 1:19 for the Atom (all from memory) so 40 secs round Silverstone seems realistic.

I'm sure you're correct Ben. I had 19 secs in my mind but wasn't sure.
