Refreshing to see so many NEW posters
Discussion
Over the last two weeks or so, I've noticed a significant increase in NEW posters to the forum.
I must say it's so refreshing to see and the variation of thread topics is great to see.
I even notice many Caterham owners not just spying anymore but actually posting - maybe they're getting the message!!

I try to stay well clear of controversy John, as you well know
I just 'feel it in my water' that even the most loyal of Caterham owners are straying this way & spying for a while.
I guess they refrain from posting for fear of a backlash. But as we've seen recently, for some, the Atom is just to tempting.

Followed one (Exige, that is) for a couple of corners at Bedford, and it looked planted (the opposite of what an Atom looks like with me in). I'm sure its just a phase, and I'll get over it ...only about 5 weeks til the 300 arrives with a bit of luck!
I have to say , in my whole life i've never looked at a Caterham/Lotus 7 and wanted one!
Exige looks very nice though
The Atoms looks took me by storm, i'd never seen anything like it.

Just think of all the fun of not going round in circles with me if you buy a Caterham.

As I posted on the BC thread, I would be hugely hugely tempted by an Atom if I were doing the whole thing again.
People who are looking for a fairly extreme sportscar nowadays are very spoilt for choice. When I got my Caterham (over 15 years ago) there was a choice of er, a TVR S. Or a Westfield. And erm, thats was it.
Certainly I think it appeals to a narrow band, albeit very strongly, of seven owners. The non-technicaly minded (i.e. ain't going to build it themselves) but don't want a windscreen brigade. More trackday than touring the alps. Something to frighten the horses rather than evoke a bygone era of motoring.
Was reading the Autocar article this week, and did think I really really like that. But too much time and money invested in the seven to think about changing now. Nioce thought though.
