Spa - 10th / 11th August and 3rd October
Discussion
Puff the Magic Atom is fresh back from the Ring, so needs some more exercise. I've booked two trips to Spa.
The first is two days (10th / 11th August) with RMA, and a skip over to the Ring for some light lappery in the middle evening. Staying at the nearbye Dorint. Chunnel booked through RMA. Going out Tues pm, aiming for a mid afternoon Chunnel. Back Thursday night late (its an easy 3hrs to the Chunnel from Spa, so aiming for a 9.30-10pm Chunnel). Going with a 997, E30 M3 and GT40 so far.
The second is a single day (October 3rd) with Autotrack. Out Sunday pm, sadly the Ring isn't open that weekend at the moment, I will sort accommodation soon, back home Monday pm. Haven't booked the Chunnel yet.
Both days have tyre services there, so if you want slicks, they can put them on and take them off afterwards. Or simply replace worn tyres. Spa is hard on tyres and brakes: its super abrasive and hence grippy.
Spa is one of THE circuits. Right up there with the Ring in my book as the two best in the world. Compared with the Ring, which is very dangerous, Spa has huge run off areas, beautifully smooth tarmac and proper pit garages. Some of the most committed corners there are: Eau Rouge (of course), but also Pouhon 2 and Blanchimont (as much a "can you do it flat" as Eau Rouge).
All I can say is DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT.

I will try to sneak the October date in under the radar, but even Brenda might notice if I was missing from the marital bed for a night or two (based on the fact she could actually sleep, becasue my snoring was not keeping her awake).
Anyway here is where I stayed when I went to Spa in May. Great place about 10 minutes for the track.

Porsches go well at Spa too. If I were you, I would get Silverline (who are there for the day, and can send your standard tyres home for you) to fit you either a set of Pilot Cups or Formula Rs for the day, or better still a set of slicks. With slicks on, you can pester Caterhams and things like that, although it will be very embarrassing if you can keep up with Puff - and Andy's new 300 if its arrived by then.
