At the Haynes Museum in Sparkford this Wednesday (and every Wednesday in August) there'll be what's called a Live Action day.

Summer Live Action Days
A day to remember; see amazing cars in action,
including stunts, dream car rides, tank rides and
lots, lots more.[/quote]

Amazing cars including the Ariel Atom... I'll be there along with at least one or two other cars this Wednesday and one other Wednesday.

The museum is close by the A303 by the village of Sparkford on the A359. For more info, see their hopelessly out of date and incomplete website at http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/index.php

What time are you planning to be there?

I might be able to skive off and perhaps visit Ariel as well and spec out the new Atom.

We are meeting at Fleet services (southbound) near junction 4a on the M3 at 0830am. We're then off to the museum. I am going to the factory from the museum at about 1630hrs to pick up some spare parts.

If I can sneak off, I will be coming from Shropshire so probably best to meet at Haynes Museum. What is your ETA?

I'll do my best to get there. It's a 3+ hour run for me, so I will need to leave at sparrows fart!

What will you be doing there? Just mooching or are you going to be involved in some kind of activities?

We (along with Declan and others) will be giving passenger rides (in return for charity donations) and taking part in two live action shows - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You don't need to rush to get there for the start. It's a family day, so everyone's welcome.

JL might even be going as sideways as Declan! Although perhaps not for quite so long...

I think they had a great time, an awful lot of grinning going on, some hilarious moments from various passengers especially the kids I think they were pretty knackered by the end of it too - if the late min spins were anything to go by

Was great to meet you guys hope to see you at the next few events maybe.

Declan great to meet you. It was a great day out, but Bruce and I were run off our feet a queue of children all day for a go in the cars. We must have taken 25 children around the track or a spin even Bruce was spinning by the end of the day. Here are some photos of the day and my travels after.

The only one at the museum

Datasafe yours is in here somewhere!

Rural idyll

Good pictures John.

I wish my Atom was there. I don't think my chassis is due until 1st week of September Are all the ones in shot new or some being serviced?

Looks quite busy.

Any new pics to post in the gallery?

I am not sure to be honest, a bit of both. I do know one of them was a lefty 300 for France. I am having problems getting photos onto the club site need to find five minutes to liaise with Ross.
