Hey guys , as a lot of you other peeps out there , i am desperatley waiting arrivasl of my atom 245 , ordered it on the 4th June and was quoted 2nd week in October for delivery , which is fair enough , just read a few posts on here which are worrying as it seems quite a few cars have been late?

Do you think i will see the beast on time!?

I damn well hope so!!

Simon always informs me that waiting times are coming down as they have taken on more staff.

It's like waiting on a freezing cold railway station waiting for a train they insist will be on time only to find that after freezing your b*** off, the train had been cancelled and they knew it!!!

I'm waiting for my 245 ordered early in May and expecting it early September. It sorta fits in with your timings I guess.

Cheers

Think of it like the birth of your child, my son was 10 days over due and my Atom was more, but both worth the wait. In answer to your question, i'd leave another two weeks on top!

I think the theme of this should be, has anyone ever had their car on time...?

My first one was a month late and that was in early 2001.

I guess the lesson is don't expect it to be on time. If it is, that's a bonus.

BA I think have this managed right. If your flight is delayed, they'll always double the delay they tell you. That way, when it's less than that, you feel like they've done a good job!

Perhaps if Simon promised six months, and then delivered in five, you'd feel better than if he promised four months and then delivered in five!

Do you think he'd lose many sales?

And do you think that after they take delivery, most people remember quite how agonising the wait was?

Been there a few times in my life and when you look back you seem to forget the pain!

Mine would have been on time except some paper work got lost in the Christmas post so it didn't turn up until 5th January 1.30pm.

Talking of Christmas most of the current orders have got caught in the Christmas rush of "Oh my God what's that on Top Gear I must have one."

I'm not sure but i think that i have the oldest order which is not delivered.
First deposit and order made the 9 of March for an Atom 300. Delivery time : announced end of june to help me. Still waiting... perhaps next week ...

Bruce is 100% right and i already told it to Simon : The problem is not really the delivery time they have BUT it's to respect the delivery time they announce to customers ... and to me first of all !

So I hope i'm on the Top of the List now !
