Somebody knows who designed this prototype?

I seem to recall it was a New Zealand based company called Hulme. It is apparently destined for production as a road legal trackday car etc. Last I head it was meant to have a 5ltr BMW V8 in the range of 450-500bhp.

It looks almst as if you could drop it over the atom!
Good for bad weather and increased top end speeds.

A bit larger than an atom and a fair bit heavier at about 1100kg and 4.6m. More details and specs at www.supercarsnz.com/

Thank you for posting this link.

The Wiesmann GT ( http://autoblog.com/entry/1234000740028427 )
seems to have basically the same BMW- V 8 engine:
4.799 cm³ ; 270 kW @ 6.300 RPM; max 490 Nm @ 3.400 RPM .

This GT, which will be shown in September at the next IAA in Frankfurt, is specified with 1.240 kg.
Because that’s not a racecar but is filled with plenty of luxury items I feel that the curb weight of 1175 kg given for the Kiwi racer is relatively high.

Both cars cannot be compared with the Atom.
Nevertheless I would like to have an Atom with a front resembling somehow to that Kiwi- racecar-- not only because it’s raining today again.
Also its side view shows some very interesting aerodynamic features!

It is the Hulme, being made by some Kiwis. We caught them taking a close look at the Atom suspension at a New Zealand motor show! A magazine article said they're expecting to sell 100 cars a year at $600k each which sounds amazingly naïve, but good luck to them.

I must confess that when I first saw this car I thought it was a joke and someone had simply plonked a plastic body moulding on top of an Atom.
