The Yokahama Midengined Sportcars are still racing apace and the Atoms are performing well!

At Brands Hatch on Saturday 20th August, you can see our two plucky lads, Steve Kerr and Dave Ball battling it out with the likes of Lee Noble and Gavan Kershaw in all manner of midengined machines. For that metting, they'll also be joined by John Hayman - EVO's 'Haymanator' - in his Atom. You may remember John's review of the Atom caused quite a stir...

Apart from all the celebs who'll be there racing their Aston Martins in other events on the day, the special guest star from our point of view will be a rare appearance outside the county of Somerset by a Mr S. Saunders.

It's got to be worth going! I'll be there - I hope you will be to.

And if anyone wants to organise a convoy, I'd definitely be up for that!

For more information on the series, see:

Here’s the timetable for Saturday

Race 1 Colonnade Residential Thoroughbreds Championship 15 mins
Race 2 Pre-War/Feltham/50s Sports Car Race 15 mins
Race 3 Rawles Motorsport Austin Healey Club Championship 15 mins
Race 4 AMOC UBS Aston Martin Championship 15 mins

So expect the Atoms at c.14:45 ish as well as in the Endurance Race at the end of the day.

Racing in the YMESS will be Dave Ball; Steve Kerr; and John Hayman.

In the Endurance Race, Steve will be joined by ex-factory racer and editor of Track and Race Cars, Keith Wood and John Hayman and Dave Ball will announce their second drivers shortly… They’ll be on track with everything from E-Type to Tiger to a collection of Astons, so it should be fun.

For those unable to make Saturday, the Atoms will be practising on Friday at which you’ll be most welcome.
