A few weeks ago i changed my Yoko road tyres to Dunlop 02g's (the new Dunlop R's) semi slicks. The grip is amazing but the front end is very twitchy and seems to drag you off where ever the camber or bump in the road is.
I've tried adjusting the pressure but not much joy.
Is it just the way track tyres are?
I guess on the track they'll be great(smoother surface)
I'll find out on Friday at Brands (my first track day)
95 per cent of my time in my Atom is on the road and i'm nearly considering having the Yoko's on the front and putting up with a slippy front end.
I have gone up a size on the tyres, could it be camber, tracking etc?

So what exactly are you running now?

Also, it may be that the new tyres are just more precise and will take a bit of mental adjustment.

205/50/15's Front
225/45/17's Rear
Dunlop R's
The whole car is sitting half inch higher than it did, i think. could the ride height be causing the problem? will the camber, toe etc now be out?

Your rear's too big for optimum track performance (although it does look good on the road!). The race setup features 16s on the back. I didn't know you could get Dunlop R's in a 17... are they specials?

no,just normal,if you don't mind on friday you could take it round Brands and tell me what you think. P.s had to have rear mud gaurds altered to fit new tyres.

You can put 1 or 2 mm more Toe Out, very easy to make.
