I get prouder every day! it's like watching your kids win on school sports day!
Funny you should mention that I won the Dads race at my daughters Sports day yesterday. All on the straight over 50m, not a spin in sight, but I did have to have a bean bag on my head. Guess the 0-60??!!

I think about 4secs ,there seems to be a little extra weight involved so i don't think it's under 4 secs. Secondly I think it's unfair to make people dress up as Jews with skull caps just for peoples amusment!

Were you wearing track or road shoes?
Nick
Definately road shoes, a nice pair of brown brogues!
The trick is rather than put the bean bag "left to right" across your head (it slips off easily this way) put it "front to back" and it tends to stay on longer. Years of testing at previous Sports Days!!

Interesting follow-up article on the NZ Open Wheeler site to be found here:

I particularly noticed the line that read - Read the full article here. And the Avon ZZRs are road legal ...
So what's the definitive answer, was the Ariel legal?

I just bought Autocar and chuckled at the caption to the picture of the Caterham & Atom, it reads:
'Caterham might lead Ariel in this photo, but against the clock the CSR was blown away by - wait for it - an Atomic explosion'
Didn't see that mentioned on the Caterham site when I had a look last night!
Nothing like a bit of stirring to caused debate - I dare you...

Following taken from the Ultima forum.
"And the pictures show that the Caterham wasn't even road legal with no lights,no indicators,no number plates and no passenger seat. Not to mention the race numbers and avon slicks it was shod with!"
Don't know if the cars had to be road legal, but it's nice to see Caterham had to turn up with a race car to try and beat the Atom and still failed!!! That's one in the eye for them after gloating over the Atom being disqualified from the Sunday Times test.
Ultima drivers are very unhappy that their car has not been in either of the recent tests!
