Bruce, Ben and myself went. We had a great day at Goodwood. Bruce and Ben came to my house and then I went in Bruce's Atom and Ben followed in his open top Merc'. (Show us a picture Ben).
Lots and lots of fab' cars and great engine noises. On the way home Bruce and I got caught in a thunder storm. I think we would have been drier if we had jumped into a swimming pool fully clothed!!
A couple of photos. Does Bruce's colour match??

Dear Designers of the Ariel Atom.
Normally, when going through deep water, driving one's car creates a 'bow wave' that allows progress without water rising too high up the car. However, the bow-shaped front profile of the Atom means that when going through deep water, the water is actually channelled up and over the bonnet and right over the driver and passenger.
I have NEVER been that wet! Water even came in through the TOP of my crash helmet!
Many thanks to John and Brenda for hospitality above and beyond any rational limit! I don't think driving home naked except for my nylon one piece rainsuit would have ben quite the thing in the Atom!
The day was great, though - those planes don't half fly low!

If I might add a third perspective. Yes Bruce and John did get very wet, probably the wettest I had seen any clothed persons, but on the plus side it was very very funny.
Photos (of Goodwood not the soaking) to be posted when I get home.
Cheers
Ben
p.s. thanks to John and Brenda for the hospitality.
