Not tried them myself, but Tom was singing their praise's saying that they offered more untimate grip then either the Yoko's or the R's.
Tempted to try them when the 48's give up.
Bruce, as long as you throttle back for the banked section at Rockingham you should be fine!!!
Mind you, you'll have to slow down to drive round all the beer cans the rednecks have thrown on the track!

They seem nice and grippy on mine although I've not tracked it yet.
Seem to be pretty okay in the wet as well - I got caught in some kind of hellish 'day after tomorrow' global warming 'event' yesterday which didn't involve driving so much as a 90 minute fishing expedition.
The rain I could handle but the waves coming at us from the oncoming lorries got a bit tiresome after a few semi-drownings.
Happy to say that the car didn't miss a beat - although I did wonder how much water the airbox could take before the engine simply drowned.
Not nice....but the tyres seemed to cope well enough and at least all the flies got washed off the chassis - just got to get the fish out of it now.

What are people's views on the new Avon ZZRs? Compared with the Yokos and Dunlops?
You've driven on them - remember?!!
They take a while to run-in, and do take a while to get up to temperature, but seem very good once they're there. Quite a progressive tyre when it comes to drifting. Side walls are still very stiff, which is not ideal for a car as light as the Atom.
Interestingly, I prefer my old Yoko539s for road use - the ZZRs have almost too much grip for road use - you end up with the inside rear in the air at every bend or roundabout!

Yup - I sort of got the impression that they took most of the day to scrub in and I wasn't convinced that they got properly warmed through, and I didn't push it at all, so wanted others' views
MC
They're considerably better now than they were at the ring - just over 1000 miles to scrub in a set of tyres! I really must drive like a girl !!
