OK. It's official - the next AAOC trackday for soft southerners will be at Bedford Autodrome on Saturday July 9th.

This is an Easytrack day, so AAOC members get it for a discounted price (normal price £189, AAOC price £176). If you're not sure how to do that, check out the Discount Deals page on the members section of the website, and if you're not a member and registered on the website - why not? You're missing out on loads of deals like this!

Bedford is a great venue for first timers and experienced trackmeisters alike, as it's really wide, masses of run-off and there'll (hopefully) be lots of experienced Atom owners to show you the way round.

If you've bought an Atom, never been on a track, and would like to see what she'll do, mister, this is the place.

For those going on the Robb Gravett day the following day, this is a good opportunity to loosen up.

I'll see you guys there...

This is the day before the Atom only training. Would love to come, but not brave enough, yet, to get away with two events in one weekend!!!

I'll try and pop along as well - probably only as a passenger, as I only get back from Le Mans a few days before, and may be asleep for the next week!

Yeah, I think I will as well, my provisional booking said £176, but when I went to pay fot it, it went up. It seems they've upped the price since it was first added to their calendar - kind of annoying really. Now with the club discount it's £209.

I notice that additional drivers are an extra £100 as well!

'Easyjet ticket pricing' is now standard practice amongst most track day organisers - the later you leave it, the more expensive it gets. I'm sure you can appreciate why they do it.

Yeah, but they don't make this clear anywhere as far as I can see otherwise I'd have paid for the day when I booked provisionally.

Seems a bit daft to have that 'feature' in there but to then not promote it to get people to pay earlier.

I think that from a consumer rights point of view that if they provide a pro-forma invoice quoting the price, without any indication that the price isn't fixed then they're obliged to honour it. I might be wrong there though but I'm going to check.

Just spoke to Easytrack who told me it was at a reduced price to encourage people to book early at the discounted rate. When I pointed out that this was not clear on the web site they agreed that it was not mentioned at all. They were very sorry but no offer was forthcoming to honour the earlier price

If you're coming, please bring all your video gear... For reasons I can't divulge, I need lots of footage of Atoms... especially from other cars, so rearward and side facing stuff would be good...
