What's the best setup for getiing 12v for accs?

Just wondering what you guys recommend for distributin 12v for all the accessories available these days?
Using non-ferousmetals that are exposed to the elements is a waste of time as they'll rust in no time. I guess a yacht chandler would be a good place to start?
What type of alternator is fitted to the Atom? Usually alternators have stacks of capacity to produce what's needed whilst the engine's running without putting a drain on the battery.
Just interested in comments on this subject.
