Searching for the answers
Discussion
Lots of people ask much the same questions on this forum. There's a great search engine here which will answer the most popular - insurance, mods, etc.
First, click on Search on the right of the bar at the top
Then put the Keyword in the search box
Then scroll down the Search Forum box until you get to Ariel
Then change the date drop down to All Dates
Then click Search
If your subject isn't coverved or isn't answered to your satisfaction, then give us a post!

in reality it would end up being a pretty dull and tedious forum if things were never re-aired, and would all the 'old timers' really go through the same thread time and time again to see what 'new' things they could add.
I for one would rather see 5 different threads with subtle nuances and additional information, than one which goes dead pretty quickly

I've been a multi year member on somewhere around 20+ forums. For any forum with tech support or any kind of archives, the same thing is always discussed.
Thanks to some comedic flash that somebody made, this video:
www.starterupsteve.com/swf/posting.html
is normally referenced and occasioanlly posted as a "sticky" (sticky threads are subforum specific and always remain above any normal threads and below announcements) or "announcement" (which is an entire forum specific thread which is duplicated in all subforums and always remains above normal and "stciky" threads).
I'm not sure if this forum software interface allows "stickies" and "announcements". Most forums that I participate on, and that seem to be most common, utilize PHP and or VBulletin software.
These forums also provide much more detailed search functions and miscellaneous functions and are generally more appealing to the eye and extremely user friendly.
In addition to this funny yet useful flash video, a subforum is usually created specifically for FAQ, including stickies and normal threads, and an announcement is normally placed throughout all subforums that reminds everyone to "read this before posting" and check the FAQ, flash vid etc.
The FAQ often even includes details and snapshots of how to search, read the FAQ and use the forum most efficiently.
What is unfortunate is that sometimes seasoned and or veteran members can be extremely rude and condescending to members strictly for recalling that this "newbie" is posting something that this seasoned/vet member has seen before and knows is available with searching.
What they occasionally irrationally fail to take into account is that older archived discussions may be discussed in more detail and improved on and new conclusions may be drawn. Thread can also be merged when this happens.
Also, some people are better at searching than others or simply have more time and or put in more effort, so what one person's search results may not always be the same as another's.
Then again, there are some "newbs" that may ask some rather ridiculous questions on occasion or atleast questions that have been covered before.
Discernment of tact, respect and rationale should always be used, of course.
Maybe the Atom Club forum should not redirect to Piston Heads and instead break away from it and use it's own PHP and or VBulletin forum. I think that would be ideal. The sooner the better. Member funds and donations shoudl be able to cover it.
My 2 psi.

I've looked on them site, but they don't have turbochargers. They have superchargers... I'm not saying that it is not a plus in the performance of the car, but I has interested by the turbo from the Ariel (as I already told you). That turbo was made specialy for the Type R engine... and it's put on sale... so it haves a guarantee. Thanks anyway! However... I'm still waiting for answer, if anyone can hewp me!

The ariel is supercharged not turbo charged. Hope this helps.
