Hi guys

I'm spending the bank holiday weekend down in Burwash, East Sussex and was wondering if there are any events or Atoms nearby?

I've yet to see one 'in the flesh'!

Have a great weekend all.

Cheers

I live Surrey / West Sussex boarder. I am hoping my car will come back from the factory this week. If you want to come via my house (not the Sunday) I can show/take you out in the car. Send me a seperate email with a mobile number and I will ring you to let you know if it turns up.

Datasafe it was nice to meet you today. I've been sitting here drinking a bottle of red wine waiting for you to get home and log on, but it must have been a long drive home (especially with that enourmous caravan on the back of your car). I hope you had a good time. If you think I was fast ask for a drive with Bruce Fielding on a track day!!!! Any way I'm off to bed finished the wine bottle and cannot type!!!!

I think that JP doesn't think I am so fast because I drive very smoothly compared to him. It's only when you look at the stopwatch that you realise I do a lap faster than him... His way is much more exciting - my way you win races...

Hello John & Brenda

We had a fantastic couple of hours, your hospitality after such a busy weekend for you all was brill - do thank Brenda for us.

That caravan did slow us down considerably on the M4, I'm sure the Atom with the extra power will pull it much better. And with three of us it's not really a problem then coz Victoria can have a doze in the caravan.

Angie said to me on the way back "what was the highlight of your weekend?" What a stupid question! I did tell her I wouldn't be dreaming of her last night.

As it was the first time I'd actually seen an Atom in the flesh several things suprised me.

1. It's much wider than I thought.
2. It's lower on the road - how well does it navigate speed bumps?
3. I'm not sure how Simon is going make the modifications needed for the tow hitch, but he's the man.
4. Getting in was relatively easy, getting out was a different matter - I'll have to perfect that or I'll look a complete pratt as petrol stations!!
5. My neck is aching!!!
6. I do have a big head.

I did log on last night John. Was gone midnight when we got back (damn caravan).

I just had to download the pictures and have a drool.

Angie insisted I print one out for her to take to work with her!! Great to have such an enthusiastic partner. If anything, Angie is more competitive than me, so watch out guys, she drives to destruction - drove her car 17 miles along the M4 KNOWING she had a flat, just didn't fancy changing the wheel!!

Once again John, thanks to you both for a lovely time.

John & Angie
