Just going though the car mags on the shelves, I had a look at Track and Car that had a little bit on the Atom.

A few pages on it had a write up on a Supercharged Civic Type R, very standard inturnals and block etc with 350 (ish) bhp at the wheels, with talk of even more.

The 220 can scare me easy enough, you'd have to be a real nutter to want more than the 300!

Get your cheque book out Meyrick!!!!

800bhp/tonne....hmmmm.

I'd imagine that would be getting close to F1 cars from the not too distant past.

I can see that ripping Jeremy Clarkson's jowls right off his face.

Laptop, smaller pulley, injectors and fuel pump. That will make about 300 at the Wheels (345bhp at flywheel)with the standard Jackson Supercharger.

I've heard great things about these engines being able to take huge amounts of abuse and forced induction.

One US company does a conversion very simular to the Jackson one but with a intercooler, on the Civic that takes it to 300bhp at 5-6psi of boost.

They're test car ran for 20,000 miles at 12psi including mutiple track days and sprints without any additional work and no issues at all.

I have no doubt that the 300 will be more than enough for me, but it's nice to know the engine and supercharger will be able to be part of future tuning.

I'll let John blow several up first to find out how far you can go........(only joking John, K Series Rules ;-)

Mine is now going into phase 2!

It was unfortunate that the first engine died the way it did, but a lot of work has been done on it over the winter, and now it is looking very good!!!

Its going to go on the rollers this week, so we will see what figures it produces

Had it corner weighted with a full tank of fuel and all of the oils and waters in.

What do you think it weighed?

Richard - you should know that Jon's isn't a stock Atom so the weights will be different...
