We've been invited as a club to meet up one evening at the Ace Cafe in London. They're always busy in the evening, but they'd reserve spaces for our cars in pride of place.

For details of other cars and bikes that meet there, see: www.ace-cafe-london.com/f1_9.htm (delete the bit after the slash for access to the whole site).

Are there enough of us in this neck of the woods? I think this will wait until the weather warms up a bit... but I'd like to do it. Any other takers?

After Clarkson's anti-bike ranting on behalf of the Atom, are you sure it's not just a setup?

This was a personal invitation from Mark Wilsmore (the bossman at Ace) who John and I met with yesterday. There are lots of car meets there as you'll see - although most of those haven't raced a bike and got slagged off for it!

I took my car up there a few Saturdays ago when it was packed with bikers and the majority loved it. Any negative comments were aimed at JC and TG specifically, not at the car!

Anyway, I'm a biker, too!

Sounds good. I can bring the Fireblade, GS or the Atom.

Follow Bruce's link to Ace Cafe we all need to go up on 23.02.05 at 18.00hrs. Event is described as "Maxin relaxin with Honda". I am sure one of us could win the Dylan Scooter!

Bruce you up for this?

I could even get my oil change for free.

Looks like I'll have to come on the bike for this one. I had a run-in with an armco barrier a while back so my car's back at the factory being repaired. Looks as though it'll be a while still before I get it back. Only hope Simon has it for me before the 5th March.

So, did you guys make it through the blizzards

I thought that it would be a good idea if we teamed up with the Ariel motorcycle owners (whose club was inaugurated at the cafe in 1951). There is, in fact an Ariel Sunday at the cafe on September 18th.

However, I received an email from them which in no uncertain terms made it clear that we wouldn't be made welcome on the day by them.

So, sod 'em - let's start one of our own...

Would you chaps prefer a weekend or a weekday evening? It does get very busy on Sundays, so I'd suggest a Saturday if it's a weekend.

Bum! You're quite right. I had the wrong date in my diary... Are you still braving the blizzards? I could be persuaded, so long as it was earlier rather than later... And I'd probably come on the bike. The traffic could be nasty!

I'll only be able to make it earliest 8pm so don't know whether we shouldn't just give it a rain (should that be snow) check this time.
