Always interesting when people talk about faster bike engined cars that would beat the Atom - are there any bike engined cars that can really be classed as reliable road cars?
The Atom's limitations in practicality simply relate to how few creature comforts you're willing to forego in pursuit of motoring nervana. Conversly, any bike engined car also appears to compromise on the reliability front aswell - is that a feasible compromise for any road car?

No, they all go bang regularly. Bike engines are not designed to lug around a car's weight, even a light car, nor deal with the level of traction.
Met a chap at Spa last year with 2 Radicals and 2 R500s in a transporter. I joshed that it was a bit extreme, but he said its the only way he could be sure that one of them will be working . . . .
