See you guys in a year !!
Discussion
Hi all, Bruce picked up my (his) car today, I was very sad to see it go.
In the year I owned the Atom I met some top people, you Atom bunch really are nice guys and I will miss you all, maybe when my business is back on track I'll take the plunge and go for another 220.
Until then have a great Christmas and new year, and have a fabulous time at all them track day events.

It's been really good to meet you as well Mark (and Linda!) - I hope you stay in touch.
Many thanks for being kind enough to let me drive your car as much as you did - Bruce is a lucky fella, that's a really nice Atom.
You're of course welcome to use mine (as and when I get it) at our next get together.
Keep active on the forums won't you and I hope business picks up so you can be back in an Atom in no time.
Cheers, Ross.

I'm home safe and sound, and the car is tucked up in my cold garage.
Thank you for selling me your pride and joy, Mark. You can rest assured that it's in good hands and you know that you're always welcome to enjoy it whenever you like. I am itching to get it out on the track - I'll let you know what happens when I do!
I'm currently trying to get the numberplate reflective vinyl off the nose - but it's proving a total swine! I've tried the hairdryer - which worked fine on the chequered flag transfers - but this refective stuff just flakes off... I seem to remember having the same trouble with the last one all those years ago. Ah, well here goes those fingernails... Either that or I'll let the paint shop sort it out!

I just had to say thanks once again to Mark!
I came back from walking the dog this morning to a clear blue sky... well, some days you just have to, don't you?
So I got on the computer and faked some numberplates (the real reg, just not real plates as Mark had kept his cherished plate) and printed them off and stuck them on the car, and moved the seat and went for a little drive. By the time I came back my skin was as blue as the sky, bu my grin was as wide as the moon right now.
The Atom 2 is a great car - I love the noise when the VTEC kicks in (but not that annoying rattle the rest of the time! I think they all do that, sir...). And the controlablility is stunning. Not sure about the gearbox - a bit 'stirry' compared to the close ratio box on Pete's - so I'm not that keen at the moment. It may just take a bit of getting used to, or I'll just make it more 'definite'.

Thanks Bruce, I'm glad you had a good time. The garage looks empty now with only the front wing and my old number plate to remind me of the good times. I had a hard time tonight trying to explain to a young lad what the atom looked like, with only the wing to show him it took a bit of imagination !

That car never falls off the circuit!
Anyway you might have more luck with it than I have!#
