What's the verdict on them?

JP - are the ones you have +2"?

Are they worth having? Do you find them distracting at all in terms of your forward vision?

I have the "normal" bubble screen : much better then with no bubble ... but not perfect (the air flow is still not going hight enougth). I think that Julian has the higher ones, but, personnaly, i don't like the esthetic of them.

Thanks JP. Yeah, I think yours are as high as I'd want them to be on mine.

Cheers, Ross.

I've got the intermediate one I think. I'm not really sure whether I should be looking through the screen or over it to tell you the truth. I'm currently looking over it. Also, I do think it makes a difference in terms of airflow onto one's helmet, in that I did test drive one without the bubble and I do seem to recall that the wind pressure was far more severe, but then again, that was a long time back. I think the only way to really compare is to test a car fitted with one back-to-back with a car without one.

I've got Mark's deflectors (they're now black, by the way). I'll see what difference they make over the standard...

Hi all,

We have three hights of screens, 4, 5, and 6"

I'm about 6' and the 5" are the best all round. The 4" ones don't give enough deflection and the 6" one start to interfear with the line of sight.

The bubbles aren't a load of money, get a couple and try them. Would post our others off, but not sure how they travel!!!!

Hi Julian,

Do you have any pics of your car with each type on? I've got pics of yours at Rockingham in September - which ones were these?

What height are the "normal" ones that JP has on his? Maybe these ones combined with the seat being slightly lower (with the new floor moulding if I get that fitted) might be an ideal compromise.

At almost £200 per set, they seem pretty pricey to be honest.

Do they require a different plastic base panel to be fitted on?

Cheers, Ross.

So others know what we're talking about, here's some pics to help:-

No bubbles - ie. standard

Standard height bubbles - JP's car

Big bubbles - Julian's car

Mark's custom deflectors - as Bruce's car above, but now sprayed black

I think i have the "lowest" Bubble screen (4"?) and you need a specific plastic base to have bubble screen fitted.
