Yes - not particularly flattering - 'ride too hard for public roads'... seems they didn't realise it was adjustable!

Still, they said it was a real rush to drive and it did make the finals.

Yup. Guess what: something rear engined, six-cylindered from Germany wins. They were frightened of the Atom, not to put too fine a point on it. I also think that they didn't adjust the suspension between the road and track settings, since they were complaining about it being far too stiff for the road. Must have been a different car to mine.

It came second last, but blitzed everything on the track.

A better Evo test was their trackday car of the year, which was August 2004. Phil Bennett drove it and came away raving. It came in the top three there, can't remember if it was second or third. That's probably a better group against which to compare it, and they don't have to work out where to stick the screwdriver to adjust the suspension. . . .
