Hi all,
Just a short note to say a big "thank you" to Bruce for organising a great day, Linda and myself really enjoyed that one.
A real shame you had to leave early, you missed JC drooling over the Atom, he even acknowledged the three mad fools who had driven to the show in theirs.

To Ross... thanks for the help after the show.

Yeah, thanks for sorting this Bruce - a real shame that you missed the last bit.

Great to see everyone again and meet Ian and Peter.

PS. Bruce - I'll put that DVD and your tape in the post as I managed to forget to give it to you in the end!

Cheers, Ross.

Boxing day I'm afraid, but it'll be worth watching as the Atom went well.

btw, slight red herring, but do you chaps follow the 'beat the Juno (ne: Radical)' feature in Track and race cars mag?

good article imo...

about 1'19" but as the fastest cars are all powerfull one i think that there is an important straight line or a lot off flat out accelerations and not a lot of time in corners on this track.
So perhaps more 1'21" in this case ...

I think the Radical did about 1.17 (I might be wrong though), but they've taken it off the list because they couldn't class it as something you could realistically use on the roads - whereas the Atom you can.

Top Gear use a speed hump test - which the Radical failed.

That's what it ought to have been I reckon Stig seemed to run wide on a couple of corners so that figure's a bit quick.

And the Atom didn't need rebuilding afterwards

Hope Bruce doesn't mind....

I can't remember the exact figure, but it was basically about 0.5s slower than the Enzo.

So the Atom takes second place (but it should have been first )

Cheers, Ross.

I think it's better to be between the Enzo and the Carrera as it places the Atom in the same league. If it was ludicrously quicker, it could have been classed separately - as it is, it's in the 'Superclub'!

Sorry for the delay in saying thanks to Bruce for the tickets and organising it all, it was a good laugh and less standing about than I thought.

Tom did say that they could have played about with a few things like brakes, set up on camber and he thought that they would have had upto a second less!!!! I guess they could have even gone for the wing kit as well.

If they really wanted to they could have put larger injectors and a diffrent pully on the supercharger but your getting into Radical areas of having to rebuild every few weeks!

But Tom stressed that this is set up exactly as for the road and they weren't getting into games of supplying one off just to get lap times or records.

It would be nice to have a lay out of the track. I've been told that it was amended a couple of time during the design to add some very long fast sections as all the supercars were being left for dead by Elise etc.
