Hi Eduardo, I'm not the expert you need but think whoever is will want to know if the hesitation started after the jetwash? Certainly on the earlier models high pressure washing wasn't a good idea. The bonnet on the SRT is even more open than the Gen II so perhaps you have water where there shouldn't be!

I think you need a DRB scan tool tbh. Just looking at the manual for where the PCM is (it appears to be in the wing above the front drivers side wheel) and have come across the following text:

If the PCM does not receive the signal (from the Crankshaft sensor) within approx one second of engine cranking , it deactivates the ASD relay and the fuel pump relay. (paraphrasing...) these relays shutting off shuts pretty much everything else down and it won't start!

My point being it looks like you are looking for a fault code to identify the issue. I imagine someone will correct me in a minute though because, as I said at the start, I am not the expert.

has it set the mil? even so might be worth checking for some codes

Cycle the ignition as follows within 5 seconds (nb on is just before start)

on - off - on - off - on

Any codes will be displayed in the dash digital readout on an SRT (well they are on an 09)

Have you popped some of the fuse box covers off to look for water?

Thanks.

Thanks,

Wish i had a fault reader.

Eduardo.
A regular fault code reader wont tell you anymore than the ignition trick, it will allow you to reset codes but if there is no code then you cant read it. A DRB will allow you to run diagnostic programs though, but then they are circa £3K.

on both the Gen2 and Gen4 you can hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition to start, it makes a noise for about a second then stops. Are you getting this?

Might be worth cranking it a bit more to see if it logs a code, wouldn't go too mad though, you don't want to burn anything out, one assumes i will log a code before it fires up.

If it was me, i would be putting it on charge, whilst that's happening, have a good look around the engine bay for a lose or wet connectors fuse boxes etc.

Excellent point, flat or low battery causes all sorts of problems even if the car has started. Mine ran like a dog with the A/C on and a low battery, simple addition of a battery tender solved that completely.

have you checked the fuses, maybe swap some relays around, swap non essential relays for more important ones and see if the fault moves. Obviously only move identical relays.

A/C not working too,

that's where your green oil if coming from, I'd say you have a pretty good leak in your AC from when they did the oil pan, the green is the dye they use for leak detection, probably cracked a pipe/joint or something and its de-pressurized quite rapidly to coat everything like that.

Glad you got it runnign though

As a gen III owner check fuses in car not under bonnet, one fuse is ignition but not labelled as that, if the car still cranks then possible fuel pump relay, also disconnect battery and reconnect to reset computer.
