Redline TOTB3 news update May 2004
Elvington Airfield, nr York, Sunday 1st August 2004.
To all teams/groups and reps
We are pleased to confirm the following clubs/groups have now confirmed their team attendance at Redline TOTB3:The 200+Club, The GTR Register, Supra's, RS Owners, Mitsubishi Lancer Register, Skylineowners.com, GTI-R, Vipers, Corvette UK, GTO, MR2, 22b.com,
PRG, 200SXOC, Fiat Coupe.(Please note some of the newer clubs have been allocated 5 places only until
some proven times/speeds are submitted).
Additionally we have a number of specially invited cars attending from across the U.K and Europe, including so far a pair of Ruf Porsche 911s and a
highly tuned Evo from Belgium. In total we expect around 120 of the fastest road legal cars to be competing at TOTB 3.
We are pleased to announce that in addition to a Trader village we now have the Sony Playstation Centre Dome and a new competition within the TOTB event
- "The Tamiya TOTB". The Tamiya track will be one of the largest ever and the spectators can compete for honours and prizes racing some of the finest model Skylines, Subaru's, Evo's and loads more against each other and against the clock.
We also have attached a Redline TOTB3 programme to give you an idea of how the day's activities will pan out. The points scoring system to decide the
Redline TOTB3 Champion is the same as last year, with a total of 30 points available for winning all 3 events overall, plus an additional 3 points for
winning each shootout, giving a maximum of 36 points available. (Rocket Ronnie won last year with a final tally of 22 points from 3 events.)
The Redline TOTB 3 Team award is again based on points overall from all 3 events and is sure to be hotly contested again. Finally there will be a computerised information centre "Redline Results" where competitors and spectators can get the latest leaderboards and results from the display monitors and information points. Team reps will be able to find out who qualifies for the shootout finals and ensure they are ready to run at the required time.
There are two RWYB test/practise days at Elvington, on the 16th May and 4th July, open to all, not just the actual team members. Team reps should note though that TOTB entry forms are still to be with us by 1st July, with only emergency team changes to be made until the 14th July, after that date no entries/changes will be accepted.
Spectating Tickets
We are now able to offer a club rate to the competing clubs and groups based on 50 tickets minimum order, to be sold to genuine club members only, please
drop us a line if interested.
General public spectating tickets are still available in advance via our website www.totb.co.uk or at the gate on the day itself.
Finally we would again like to thank the teams, club reps and group organisers who support us at Redline TOTB for their help and invaluable assistance once again.
Another Redline TOTB update will be sent in June.
Bye for now
The TOTB Team.

Actually, if you check the latest Autocar, where they do a 0-100-0 test. The modern day Ruf they tested is fast, but not THAT fast.
The old Yellowbird Ruf CTR from 1990 on the other hand is fast.
0-100 6.7 secs
0-200-0 in 47 secs !!!!
standing mile 189mph and 27.7 secs.
apparently its 1/4 is around 11.9 @ 135, taken from a different website.
Not bad for a car built in 1990.
