Supercar Sunday 26th June
Discussion
I know it was my first and only year there last year, but I have to agree, I thought it was pretty crap to be honest... seemed to be more of a Max Power type event than a Supercar event... was a little disappointed from what I had heard from previous years... I very much doubt that I will be making the trip up there this year. (Though to be fair I can't see me making it to much this year anyway).
cant decide if last year was largely down to the world cup being on, or if the rice burners have taken over.
I must admit though there are only so many times you can look around the museum and find it interesting still and if the cars outside aren't up to much.
Not decided myself as we are pretty busy the weeks prior to this so may want a rest.

Well I probably feel the same about this event as most others. It's a shame as it is a good excuse to get a good group of cars together and get out for the day. But to be faced with the "Fix Or Repair Daily" Cougar club and, for this year, a record breaking number of Yamaha R1's and R6's is a far cry from the days when the Ferrari Owners club held their national concourse there with a 7.5T box van loaded with hospitality stuff and catering for their members. Its not for me, aahm (probably) oot, however, it is only a 15 min trip there for me and I get in free with the car.
Now when will that Caterham be finished?
What we need is another event, where there's plenty to do and see, where everyone can get together with a good number of cars.

Do you guys North of the Thames have any Wilton House type events, IE 'stately home' car type shows /auto Jumble stuff. Maybe we could find an event like that and have a Picnic? Somewhere sort of central where more of you northern chaps could meet with the southern guys? Duxford is good for this and well done to Tony for getting it set up, The Corvette nationals used to use a Good venue Stately home.
Any thoughts? Stratford on Avon, Warwick castle area is lovely but maybe that's too far up, Not sure?

Looks like the Corvette Nationals are at Huntingdon Race Course again this year, not exactly a Stately Home
What is the attraction to a Stately Home I found this link for something later in the year, but no idea if the dates clash with anything?
http://www.knebworthhouse.com/events/Classic%20Mot... Also not sure if this event is central enough?
I also had a look at the Prescott Hill Climb web site to see if they have any kind of car displays, maybe some owners would want to have a go at the Hill climb and some be on static display, Looking on the website I think the club would have to pay for a display area on an event day, but if there was enough interest it might be worth a phone call or email.
I guess we could all have a chat at Luton lunch
