Hey All,

Still struggling with the rear of the car leaking into the boot and also water getting above the headliner. Seems that it's just a case of working at it till it's sorted, got a bad feeling the rear or the car will have to come off and need re-sealing. Not a job I fancy with my limited knowledge, but not giving Chrysler any more money! frown

Anyway, onto something slightly different, does anybody have or know where I can get some of the door handle surrounds for the interior? One of mine has had the tabs broke and falls off from time to time. I've seen the metal ones on partsrack, but at £££ its way too much of an expense for such a little item!

Thanks all.

Craig.

I should add the 'not an expert' moniker here but you can get these types of items either second hand from somewhere like XVipers or new from Chuck (ViperWizard). Chuck is coming over soon as well and for a plastic item which tends to get brittle over time new probably makes the most sense.

I have had this once before on another car and I solved it by taking off the sealing rubber at the top and using clear silicone re-fitted it with that at the top, some of the problem is the water gets into the rubber at the top then runs down the inside of the rubber sealer.

JUst an idea but for a couple of quids worth of sealant worth trying I would stick the whole lot on.

For second hand parts I would speak to Paul Scharf http://www.donscharfautomotive.com/ , in my experience better service and cheaper than XVipers, for new speak to Chuck.
