Well its finally happened V10 Boy has gone and been reincarnated into V10 Boy on an R8 Spyder, called 'Boris'

I nearly cried when she went down the road, instead remembered all the great times we had together, 5 runs to Hockenheim including featured in the Corvette program, 5 times to Germany for other events, Viper no mates for two years, photos at the Reims trac with various Corvette's. France, Belguim, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, what a car, and if you have half as much fun in this car as I did, your life will feel complete, grab the wife pack a case...............and just go............long live SRT10 Viper Mamba edition 86 of 200 you are not just a car !!!

And I suppose now is as good as any opportunity to introduce myself as the mystery man... A lot of you know anyway but thought I should come out of the shadows... I had an entertaining drive back last night in the snow, with the last few miles being the worst for ice but I made it safely with no incidents and now hope to give Lightening a good home and most importantly do as Paul said and enjoy him!

Neil, I think you know me better than that!

I'd just like to add my thanks to Paul as well for being so accommodating, helpful and understanding.

Congratulations Mark! Had a feeling it would be heading your way when Paul announced he was thinking of selling... Glad to see it's gone to a good home. Enjoy!

Paul, I understand the upset... But having seen the replacement... I think you'll cope wink

Very Nice White with Blue stripes ACR being talked about over on the VCA should you change your mind at some point...

Oh it happened - it will be etched into my memory for some time to come. I'm surprised there isn't a thread somewhere else on here entitled 'idiot spotted on M25 in blizzard in most inappropriate car!'

Hi Andrew,

GTS is in a highly polished state in its bag, connected to its life support charger with dehumidified air being gently wafted around it waiting for its next chance to emerge (which given the current conditions may be some time...).

Paul, do you show up in the Audi at the Jim Clark Revival at the Hockenheimring in April 2011?

Or the GT-2?
;-)

Not sure yet Marcus, but suspect that it may be the Audi, as we can have the roof off when the weather is nice and most times we have been to Hockenheim the weather has been good enough to go "topless".
I too will miss "lightening" loads, we have had so many great times.
Mark and Katy I hope you enjoy the car together as much as we did, as soon as the ice and snow has gone, wrap up warm take the "lid" off and just drive, I know he is going to a good home.x

Well not sure Marcus, you always told me the R8 was a common car in Germany, but I have yet to see one in my travels so perhaps so, but the GT2 is due for a Euro trip but I am trying to keep the mileage down.

Happy New Year to you and your family.

Well, is the old mind playing tricks Paul. I remember quite clearly on the way back from Germany an R8 overtaking us with you right up his exhaust pipe yes

Not saying that this is the only truth, but on MOBILE.DE (used cars) there are

562 R8 for sale

and

100 Dodge Viper (many of which are not in Germany and waiting to be imported!)... ;-)

...relation is ............................ more like 10:1

I know you (will) like the screaming sound of the small displacement V10 in the R8! :-)))

SEE you in Hockenheim and/or VELDEN!!!

P.S.: The GT-2 has been built to be driven. Not stored away. Go. Use it!

Thanks Barbara. We intend to use and enjoy him! I'm sat here looking at our street waiting for the ice on it to go away... We plan on using him xmas day to introduce him to the family so that will be fun smile
