My 'check engine' light came on yesterday for the first time. I have a 1996 RT/10 that has some N/A mods. Most recently, the cats were removed. The codes it threw were:

P0140 - '02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2)' or 'O2 Sensor 1/2 Stays at Center'

P1281 - 'Engine is Cold Too Long'

Wondering if anyone has any ideas? Cheers.

P0140 sounds right. Sounds like the rear sensor which is normally post cat. Is it still plugged in?
Maybe removing the cats means its not even there any more.
Maybe SCT can disable the code.

As for the other one thats something different. Open thermostat?

Not a big problem, just reset it. Has something to do with the cats.

Could be that the engine is nog warming up fast enough, maybe the thermostat is stuck open? Do you have a stock thermostat in your car? If you have a 170 thermostat, it could be that its just so cold in this time of year and that your car doesn't warm up quick enough.

Got the same code today

Cheers.
