Ok, so I'm really getting to like the car after a year's ownership and that's leading me to consider spending a bit of cash on three niggles:

(i) Plug in / strap-on iPod / iPhone cradle and charger for the stereo. Any recommendations or is that a question for Chuck?

(ii) Someone at Dunton mentioned getting the stereo flashed / reprogrammed to seek and tune into radio stations in the UK. Sorry to whoever it was but my memory is shot to pieces! Again, any suggestions welcome

(iii) Sat Nav DVD for the stereo. I like the standard stereo, I can even hear it over the engine and read the screen in full sunlight. Seems daft to have a working sat nav device that no-one will try to steal sat there twiddling its thumbs and another device on the screen. Is this something best taken up with a Dodge dealer in the UK or another question for Chuck do you reckon? Anyone using the built-in nav in their car?

Would really appreciate any guidance on these mini-projects as I'm sure I'm not the first to ask these questions smile

Cheers,

Andy

1. every gen3 ipod install ive seen the unit has been fitted inside the centre consol, there's a special lead that links direct to the back of the factory stereo, but its quite pricey somewhere around $200. Looks good as it all hidden away

2. i looked into that, no such thing as a re-flash with these steroes, you either get new euro head unit (seen a few go through german ebay) or try fitting a frequency changer, or stick on a unit like them DAB car devices.

I reckon one of these 5 is the euro model https://www.viperpartsofamerica.com/index.php/cate...
then you can sell your US spec one

3. there's a dodge item available, others have fitted aftermarket double din stero/sat nav but then you have to modify the radio surround, as the curved corners wont match

im guessing about £1200

wont a £100 tom tom do the trick, and just throw it in the glove box when not in use and spend the other £1000 on something better for your car wink
