Once had a guy come into the workshop for a possible mis-fire/ loss of power - quite difficult to see at idle.
Left hand rear header was cooler than the rest so checked the plus and swapped injectors to no avail.
We then decided to lift the inlet manifold off to find the gasket was folded over almost totally blocking the inlet tract.... Been like that from the factory.

From what I know (which isn't much) the Euro spec Vipers were restricted to around 386bhp from 450bhp stock by exhaust and air restrictor. Difficult to know how much that would have gained.

I remember on one of the early meets when I had my car at Santa Pod - everyone was looking over it and Nad pointed out I still had the air restrictor in - I had no idea. 10 minutes later it was out and off I went to post a 12.49 up the strip biggrin

James had a mustang come in for service and low on power... Very low!!!!!

Done the service and pulled out the air filter and there was a HUGE dead rat in the intake tube to the filter.......

It helped when he got rid of that slow red thing that couldn't out run a rain drop and got the best and fastest colour.
