Hi guys,

Is it just me or are Vipers dust magnets?

Any tips from the pros?

Can't say I have that problem, but then mine is parked in a sealed garage with a resin floor and painted ceiling...

Is yours garaged? If so is the floor sealed or just concrete? Painting/sealing the floor will make an enormous difference.

The other option is a good car cover I guess?

Hi, yes I have a good sealed garage - and a proper cover - and normally its fine.

But whenever I take it out and leave it outside for a bit, or dont put the cover on it, it seems to immediately get a thin dust covering - like its magnetised or something..

I thought it may have something to do with the plastic body, and if so wondered if there was a polish which would help.

No idea I am afraid, as I say, not something I experience...

Try using a different polish?
Could be a static issue I guess? Is the car Earthed properly?

Other than that, not a clue... And to be honest, with the earthing issue I'm clutching at straws.

Having just done a t'interweb search, 'car attracting dust', it would appear that polishing can cause your car to attract dust, and that different types of polish do have better properties when it comes to 'not' attracting dust...

Personally I use Autoglym, but I know several other owners use Meguiars...
