But just going there and competing is great fun! It would be far too expensive to go hoping to win - tens of thousands on mods would be required! Or it would require being Nad! :-)

Just a reminder

Closing date for all entries for TOTB9 is 3rd July 2010

Any questions concerning entering, please ask away.

We still have places available for Saturdays warm-up day.

If you are not in a team but think that you have a fast car then Saturday is the day to show us what you have got.

Regards
Dave Naxton

It used to be a great event,cloud9Ahh.....Venom at almost 180mph was a sight and sound to behold. My best memory of TOTB was watching Sarah blast of down the runway and out of sight (the end of the runway drops away)and listening to her coming "off the power" over a mile away cloud9.

Still pretty good fun, although there aren't many 'street' cars competing these days (mainly single seat, stripped out, undriveable turbo racers). But great fun to beat some of them in a N/A fully loaded Viper! biggrin My aim is to be fastest N/A car this year!

May I ask what an N/A car is and what speed you are expecting.

Mark.

it's not a mile anymore at TOTB, quite a few cars were hitting over 200mph, so health and safety reduced it to a meaningless 1km

in the early days of TOTB both Nad and Sarah hit 178mph on the same day, for the mile

I was more thinking of the quarter mile rather than the 'maximum' speed run. The RT/10 does not have a great top speed due to aero dynamic issues!

I did the same time at TOTB last year but with terminal speed of 95mph! Bonnet came up about 3/4 way through run and I had to brake! Would hope to shave a fair bit off that time this time.
