I might be buying an RT10 and need some advice or information if anyone knows the car.
The reg is T410 NBH, red RT10. It's supposed to be 1999 but it has genI wheels, non-airbag steering wheel and the most puzzling part - rear exhausts as well as side pipes (maybe covers only?) Still haven't seen her in flesh, only pictures, it's located in Northern Ireland so would be great to get some information before I make the trip there.
Cheers

Get the Vin number and post it up here, it is coded and will tell a lot about the origins of the car. If its a US import a carfax check can be run using this which will again show a lot about it. It definitely sounds like a Gen 1 UK European (or possibly Canadian) car though as the rear exit exhausts were added for these markets and the sills simply didn't have the hole for the exhaust cut out. It will probably also have no side windows (real give away for a Gen 1) and no vents on the bonnet at all.

The reg is actually T401 NBH, it was the first Viper I ever drove, it was used as a track car at Prestwold Hall for their 'Supercar Experience'... It has come up in conversation here before, there were a few things we spotted from the photos on the advert, link below:

Ignore alot of the 'in jokes' about Essex, they were linked to a dodgy dealer down there, and are not relevant to the car.

It is a 1994 car as far as I am aware, but if you can get the VIN we can verify that for you, it has rear exit exhausts, and as Mark has mentioned above, the earlier cars had a moulding as part of the side sills which looked like black side pipes, US Spec cars were fitted with side exit exhausts as standard, Euro spec cars had rear exit, as this one does. They can be converted back to side exit very easily and cheaply with a Roe Racing exhaust system and the side sills can be easily cut out to convert to side exit as many cars over here are.

To clarify, the car is a GenI car, and was as far as I am aware registered later than it's manufacturing date, by some 5 years, this may or may not need some looking into, but back then cars were often registered against the year of entry to the UK rather than their year of manufacture.

Thanks for all the answers. Got the VIN, it's a Canadian spec car, gen I, 1994 but still on T-reg. Anyways, decided not to go on with the purchase (even if it was very cheap) - simply not suitable for me due to the lack of windows - I would have to leave it overnight on the street in Central London every now and then and plastic clip on windows are not an option.
