Checking the oil...

Ok, so for the first time when checking the oil it's looking a bit on the low side. Time to top up methinks but have I got it right? This is a wet sumped engine so you drive around for a bit to warm it up, stop for ten minutes and then check the level, no? I've got the 8.3 litre engine if that makes a difference... Am I reading it right?

manual says to leave it overnight before checking, if the oil level is at the low end of the 'SAFE' marking youll need to add x2 quarts
