Just a quick reminder, for those who choose to join the VCA each year, that Membership is due for next year and can now be renewed if you haven't already.

Unfortunately overseas members don't have the option to join or renew via the Website this year for some reason, but ring Viper HQ on 0018009981110 and choose option 1 to go through to the VCA... In order to renew (you will need your current VCA Membership number & Credit/Debit card for payment) or to discuss a new membership (you will need your VIN number, and a Credit/Debit card for payment)

Here's to another great year!

it now mentions this on the application form, but i dont think Paul has been informed about the changes as yet

I renewed back in December when I put the reminder up, and got the same email as Dave, I guess Paul will know if any changes have been put in place, he did mention that some of the European countries do things differently to us, so I guess there is the chance that whoever Colin got on the phone got it mixed up...

See my Original post Neil, Overseas members no longer have the option to renew online, it appears to be something to do with the different ways that different countries deal with the funds.

Our money goes to the VCA, but some countries pay that bit more, the additional funds get hived off by the Reginal section, which then assists that individual country/region in funding their events etc. I believe that the individual regions outside of the US are now paying via their President in order that the additional funds get taken out and added to the regions 'pot'. I was under the impression that the UK would not have this issue as we don't do that.

yea i know some countries have been paying the full US membership fee's for years and not receiving the extra funds back into their region, so they are trying to sort that out

it doesnt really or shouldnt of effect us, as weve always paid reduced fees to the VCA anyway

Seems like the VCA have changed the ball game for renewals, I don't even know what is going on, I will call them and find out.

However am a bit pissed off as is Marcus :-

No. Not really pissed. Astonished. Why all the fuss with different fees.
KISS. Keep it stupid and simple. Same fee for everybody - DOT

With being a member of the IL VCA everything runs smooth for me now.

Left the Swiss VCA because I did not attend any meeting/event for 3 years there...
AND because they charged me an arm and a leg in addition to the US membership fee!
The magazine arrived months after it has been released!

IL VCA = prompt service.
:-)

P.S.: going to Chicago in FEB again.
Checking out another red 2002 RT/10 being for sale there.
