05 Viper engine tappety?

the engine in my 05 SRT10 truck sounds quite tappety and was wondering if that is normal for a Viper engine?

any advice as I have not heard other Viper engines to be able to make a comparison...

CHECK YOUR OIL.... Just done an oil change on a 04 truck and it had 2 ltrs in it!!!! was tappety now has the correct oil level and now quite and smooth.... Also had plugs filters ect ect....

I've got an '05 model 54 plate and it doesn't sound tappety. I've always been surprised at just how smooth it feels and sounds. Deffo check the oil...

have just checked, over full on one side of dipstick and 1/2 full on the other (after x4 clean & plunge)

I'm guessing the side that reads 1/2 must be right as if it were over full (as the other side suggests) there is no way you'd be able to get a 1/2 full reading, am I right?

I want to be right as it'll be a cheap cure
