I have made an offer on a Black RT10, can anybody advise on things to check and if there is a good specialist whom could give it a once over?

What year of manufacture are you looking at ? dodge or chrysler blacks were made up to 1996 the later the year the better as a few niggles were sorted out, there's a plate on the drivers door by the lock that gives this information. Don't fall into the trick of looking at the log book it only shows when it was registered in the UK if its a USA import, not when it was made

Head gaskets are a known problem on earlier models, as is bubbling (bi-metal corrosion) appearing on the side sills which is hard to overcome and expensive to replace. Hopefully its got some kind of roof/window system which will make it more usuable espicially if it has A/C, all viper parts are generally expensive and hard to get hold of in the UK.

Dont know of a specialist who could look the car over, I had a RT for a number of years and never had a problem they are rock solid, good luck
