is the viper not american or a mopar
Discussion
Some people would argue that the Viper is not actually an American car using the following logic:
-Dodge is owned by Daimler Chrysler, a German company (Chrysler = US, Daimler = German).
-There is a lot of German influence in Dodge - staff, how things are done, corporate culture, etc etc.
-If Dodge is owned by a German company, then some people (intelligent Viper owners who I've talked to on other forums) say that the Viper is German because Dodge is owned by a German company. However, this would make the Subaru Impreza an American car (Subaru is owned by FHI, who is owned by GM), the Nissan Skyline would be French lol (Nissan has either merged with Renault, or Renault have a majority shareholding in Nissan = takeover). The Murcielago (Italian) is German because Lamborghini is owned by Audi, who are German, and etc.
But to me, the Viper is American - huge engine, low bhp/l ratio (which doesn't mean anything to me), great styling, awesome tuning potential, etc.
