I started a thread about this before but can't seem to find it. Anyway, here's some photos in roughly chronological order (starting pre-crash) detailing the progress with the car to date...

As it used to look pre-accident:

The accident (Oct. 2007):

Getting taken away :-( :

Figured there would be more to come but was just being a smart ass and posting before he had a chance to put the rest up.

IIRC it was late 2007 it happened

The initial strip (Beauly, June 2008). Much thanks again to Nadine in coming up all the way to the north of Scotland to do it!

Those GenI.5's definitely appear to be more GenI than GenII by the looks of things...

Hamish, howwwwwwwwww long ago did you last sit in drivers seat?

The rear view mirror now...

All these pics, focus and attention on the front end, lets look-see at your rear now!!

Oh my, how did that carbon GTS wing get on there? ...

The neat thing is when you break, the RT/10 high level brake light, kind of neon lights the wing up red, very cool, and wasn't even part of the plan!

That looks so cool! Thanks again for all your work. And it's been nearly 21 months since I was last in the driver's seat!! Can wait to be in it again but that'll be soon! smile

I didnt notice you saying it, but are you getting a whole new frame? you will need to if you ever intend to take the car on a track again, there is no way anyone can truly fix it. That is to say Ive been there and done that.

Firstly, it's Hamish :-) And she's running really well!! Bigger injectors and tweaked throttle bodies mean there's more top end now. She's a beaut and will be even nicer once the hood's finished.

You need not be worried, car frame is safe for track. It had a replacement front frame half, welded properly in a jig. 8 years ago unfortunatly I had to do the same also to mine. My Viper is probably the most raced road car in UK, from circuit racing to hill climbs, drifting to 1/4 mile drag and standing mile etc. Running repeated low 10 sec 1/4 miles, and +200mph standing mile, takes trophies in hill climbs and on circuit, ie I think its fair to say its pushed a little! Some of us can't afford to go buy another or are too attached to the car. Hamish's car is one of the limited edition 1996's, so nice to see it live on and not scrapped. Hamish you take care of that Viper, it was quite emotional to see it drive off down the road after I spent so many hours and TLC with it! Hamish did the whole drive back to the Northern highlands of Scotland in one go, only making 2 brief fuel stops, seeing 25 mpg! Way to go.
