Still need to replace the battery on my car after it went in Germany - currently on a donor battery (thanks Neil!)

Does anyone know the specs - i.e. dimensions, CCA, etc. so I can look for a replacement. I ditched the old one so can't measure my mine unless I take out the old one.

Bought a Mopar one from local chrysler dealer. Gone pear shaped but now that the dealer went bust I cant get a waranty claim so have gone with a lucas replacement unit with a 3 year waranty for £80 job done and I can take it back to the local dealer which is at the end of the road.

Got one of theirs in mine now, about £100 give or take a few £, they stock the delco one which fits perfectly although it is sacrilege to put a delco part in a mopar. Cant really comment on how good delco are now though as its not been in there long enough but it was nearly 10 years before the terminal fell off on the one in the camaro so that isn't too bad.

Dont forget to ask for the VCA/BAZ discount.

as opposed to my "now" local chrysler who effectively said "whats a viper" followed by "we don't do import stuff" banghead

Has anyone got the specs though - there are plenty of places offering good quality batteries at good prices, but unless I know what the size and spec is, can't check. We should add this to the Service Wiki too.

http://www.tayna.co.uk/car-battery-wizard.php

This page needs LxWxH, Ah figure and terminal placement and type.

Even Halfords batteries are pretty good these days!

Off the top of my head it needs at least 650 CCA side post terminals. Couldn't find the receipt though last night. I'd avoid the duel post ones (optima red top) as the top posts interfere with the chassis

If you had asked before Sunday morning i had one sitting on my garage floor!

Assuming these are the correct type, albeit from a different supplier, the specs are noted:

They are out of Viper batteries AGAIN!!! Too slow...

Ordered Mopar one from Chrysler dealer £106.95. The side terminals seem to limit choice!

Just found this company that sells batteries in the UK
http://www.advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk/carbatter...

Is this the correct size dimensions for a Viper? I have not taken my wheel off yet for a correct measure up.

How does this price compare to the usual suppliers?
