Discussion
At a risk of being accused of fishing for a sale, I am just canvassing opinion on a car that has been offered to me in part exchange. It is an official European GTS 1997 in launch colours- blue with white. It is possibly the best one I have ever seen in absolutely mint condition with 5000 miles, one owner with all history, paperwork etc. Is there still a good level of interest for these as I have not had one for a couple of years. Only mods are a Hennessey cat back exhaust system and K and N air filter.
Any input would be appreciated?
Thanks
Charles

Personally I'd say that the interest is still there, but unfortunately, with a couple of pretty major factors being taken into account by potential buyers, (namely the credit crunch, and the substantial increase in fuel cost recently), the lure of the car you always wanted, is often far outweighed by the increased cost in owning one.
That said, the hardcore Viper owners, and fanatics will always be interested in the right car at the right price, I know this from personal experience... And to be honest, if the right car turned up at the right price I'd be all over it myself.
One day I will definitely be considering a GTS, but unfortunately that will most likely be in place of the RT/10, as currently I can't justify, or afford to have both.. Plus at the moment, I love the RT so much that I'm not 100% positive that I could cope with moving it on to replace it with another car... But then, never say never, if I do, it will definitely be another Viper.
So, starting things off, how much? Got any pics?

Blue and white got to be a future classic, anyone with any sense would stash one of these away (unless they had a GT2) as its without doubt going to be a modern AC Cobra, if people can wait 10-15 years if you are luck enough to own one people will be asking is that a kit, or the real thing.
Someone is going to be very luck a 97 Viper GTS is not a car its a living experience, an icon of the 90's.

Certainly is.......It's a sad day.
Selling the car I said I'd never sell.
Choice of wheels either the originals for the guy that wants originality or the 5 grands worth if Kinises. Both sets like brand new.
Seriously.....this car is absolutely beautiful, no marks and never ever had paintwork. Not even the sills have discoloured.
Off to cry now.
