on the 26th Mopar Nats@Santapod, there will be few of us there before leaving for TOTB in the afternoon, saturday is always the best day to run as there is less cars going down the strip, so far as i know there's
Baz
Fishboy
Spud
Carl
Nad/Bjorn
Andrew/Jenny
Me,
and i think Paul as well
you can turn up with your driving license, helmet, long sleeves and jeans (no shorts allowed) and run the strip as many times as you want/possible for £20 (plus entry fee), rain = no runs until the track has been dried

if you dont want to run its always a good event to watch

just got back had a great few days over in Ireland with Spud, then onto at the mopars and totb, so lots of miles covered on the roadtrip, roasting hot today up at elvington glad to find a bit of shade, i guess all the cars were a little slower than they would of been with cooler temps
thanks to the usual bunch and espicially the Pikey for a fab time

How did Nad do at TOTB? Who was the fastest there?
I didnt stay there right to the end this year so dont the full results as yet, but i think an evo car had the fastest 1km top speed, and a Roger Clarke scooby was second (i may have got that the wrong way around) But Stevie in his GM powered granada did finish 3rd (with about 181mph) for the standing 1KM. Nad finished 9th overall on the top speedcouncil enforced noise limits created more work for some teams, i watched x3 on the trot get turned away and told to make their cars quieter, guy on the DB meter was about 1/2 a metre away, a little hap-hazzard pointing straight at the exhaust on one car, at an angle on another, with another guy watching the revs. more restrictions meant this year they couldnt even start till 10.30am, a 1km run instead of a 1 mile, a 45min stop for lunch, and a 3.30 finish for qualifying.... Nad and Bjorn were right on there limits at 112db most cars had to make a lower limit
a very tough day for drivers and mechanics, must of been boiling inside them helmets
no pics from me, i was to lazy to even get my camera out

the thread has moved on a bit to TOTB, the other event we all went to for street legal cars in York
they are extremely fast cars, when you beat that little Tigra's 1/4 mile time in your GTS let me know bear in mind the surface is an old airbase runway, slippery concrete not the sticky surface at santapod with 85 degree temps so you can probably knock at least .75 of a second off the Tigra's time. I dont think any of the Mopar cars could run at Elvington
