Hello everybody,

In May 08 I have bought a crashed 2001 RT/10 in yellow/black. A very nice and special car. Of course the Gen2 Viper has ABS. I wanted it for myself but would also sell it. I have less time and can’t work too often on the car. I am now up to a point where I have to make a decision. I stripped the car to see what is needed.
I have to decide between:
-rebuilding the car for me or for sale in a few years
-selling the car as it is
-selling the roadster in parts

To clear the last point, I would first have to check if anybody out there would have interest in some of the parts. If I will keep 50% of the parts value, this is not an option to me.
Please only raise your fingers when you are really interested in something. For my opinion, very interesting is the ABS system. I know what this costs new. The whole automotive wiring harness and the mechanical sensors cost a big lot of money for everybody who wants to switch to a original Viper ABS.
Engine runs smooth and without problems. Airbags closed. 20k miles.
The car has a racing suspension from ST with a catalogue price of 8800 EUR, bill and warranty. It is also a Corsa Catback exhaust system with race catalytics installed. Plus H&R wheel spacers.
Interior is in great condition, the power window doors are with only light damage.

If anybody is interested in the car as it is, make me an offer. Please no offers in four digits. Any serious offer will be discussed.
I guess the bumblebee will not be satisfied with a stroke, she will need some love!

What you need:
Frame repair (rear upper both tips), (front lower right tip) – a frame with perfect rear can be arranged
Wheelhouse front left
Transmission repair (6th gear broken – this was not a cause of accident, the broken tranny has been installed afterwards by a dealer)
Control arm upper front left (not caused by the accident, just worn out)
Rear right knuckle
If I would repair it myself, I would change out the whole right control arms and knuckles, just for safety.
Wheel repair (three 18”s are in good shape without damages and one is damaged but not twisted as far as I can see)
Four new tires (you never know...)
Headlights left/right, can be cheaply arranged, too
Hood
Rear both quarter panels
Trunk pan repair
Exhaust repair (the rear tip is a little bent, easy)

I can help with all the parts if somebody wants to rebuilt it. Definitely no problem.

The bumper in the front with insert is still in good condition. The insert is like new and the bumper has some light damages. This speaks for a ‘good accident’ for the front. The main damage is in the rear.I could also help with another damaged hood. Surely there could be made one out of two.
I also have a complete set of four wheels with good 90% tires here from a 96,97 car. They are 5-spoke 17inch.

All the rest is good. I have worked out this list for a few days, so you can be 99% sure, there will not be further things damaged except of small parts. Of course I cannot look in internals and cannot give any warranty as a private person. But this was my list for calculating. I have already bought tail lights, rear bumper with insert, trunk hood and some further parts to get the car back on the road.
The 2001 RT in yellow is a really asked car. I never saw a good, used one below 50k EUR.

So lay your hand on your chest, feel the beat increasing, look for your wallet, come here, take it, rebuilt it and grab life by the horns smile
This car is too seldom to die.

ouch, that certainly looks like a mega expensive fix in parts alone and quite labour intensive to, i hope you got it very cheap

The owner will have to invest further 15000-18000 EUR at maximum in the car including paint job without his self labour!
Of course, the expensive parts only used (hood, quarter panels...) possibly out of the US.
If anybody is interested, I can help with that.
