Drop DennisACR a line - he has wheels and tyres going spare, see
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... for tyres.
Okay, he's not in the UK, but Germany's not that far away.

Same as these wheels below, stock GenI RT10. They are 17" and will fit straight on any stock-brakes GTS, but if you have fitted any big brake caliper with larger 14" discs they will not fit! I always carry a front wheel for a spare, as it could be used front or rear if you get a puncture, and away from home (with non-directional tread pattern). Carry it face down and you can fit luggage items inside it (a race helmet and suit fits nicely!) and stops it knocking around in the back! I machined up some bolt extensions to the stock fixing so you could screw it down secure still (or find the right size long coach bolt will do).

Hi Nad,
Tried to send you an email but pistonheads won't allow me
I need to get my 3 spoke wheels refurbished.
If your wheels are new and in perfect condition I could be interested, depending on price.
Could you e-mail me re what you want for them?
Thanks

i tried running the spare wheel face up like the little 1:18 models with the wheel in the boot, but in practice its doesnt work you get all sorts of reflections bouncing around the interior off the rear glass and the wheel face can scratched more easily, so its face down with the black cover over the top, which is also a great place to get your valuables out of sight if you dont have a complete rear MDF shelf
i have one of Nad's machined bolt extensions (pic above) it works a treat, along with a snake oyl tyre valve extension, so i check/inflate the spare without having the hassle of having to take the wheel out of the boot
