How do we see the values of these Vipers in years to come?

I mean they have a proper heritage, a well proven racing success which all helps in years to come.

Maybe we have to wait for the 90's generation to be old enough to have some spare. Maybe that will be the 2020's

Not that it matters to most of us but at the minute I have to justify having far to many cars. I tell the wife they're an investment.

Well at least the Alistair Darling's plan to retrospectivly drastically increase road tax for gas guzzlers has been thrown out.

Hi,

My view is that as the SRT-10 market has pulled all the vipers down in value substantially in the last 2 years (1999/2000 GTS form around £40,000 to £30,000). The good news is i do not see the RT -10 and GTS market falling much further. Those of you sitting on these cars will be looseing say £2,000 a year max at the moment.I have never seen a 94 RT-10sell for less than £20,000 and I think values will always stay above £20,000 as they are an iconic car and at the end of the day supercar looks and performance for cheap money. As long as everyone keeps selling at a sensible price not like what happened with the SRT-10 where dealers after sitting on the car for 2-3 months became worried and then dumped the price to get them out. My experience is that if you have a nice clean car you will always get near to your asking price or your asking price if you hold the car for a while. I have sat on vipers for over a year but always got around what i wanted. Dropping the price by a couple of thousand pounds will not secure more possible customers for the car. You either want a viper or you don't dropping the price will not really effect how quickly you sell the car unless you drop the price drastically. I will happily buy or do sale or return for anyone with a nice example. I have found by SOR a car I can usually get what the owner wants for the car with in reason.

The SRT price plumet was due to over supply.

A brand new UK SRT could have been bought for close 40k at the end of last year if you knew where to look. This has a big effect on used.

I don't believe the price of an SRT should affect earlier cars but I guess in the short term it will. In years to come they will find different markets. The original RT then the GTS were pretty amazing when launched and were big time pin up faves.

This will take effect as I say when these guys have disposable. I say this cos that's all I do now....buy cars I lusted after when I was a nipper.
