Just got some further info for the ASDA day at Bruntingthorpe 10th August one hot lap target 20K for sick kids would like to know who is coming we intend to have our own pit with six cars on track at any one time so names please briefing for me is at 9:00 kick off 9:30.

Noise is same as last year ie: no noise checks, but all drivers are asked not to take the pi**, same track team are in charge this year so the noise requirements will not change and the track manager thought the GT2 at 120 db was quiet.

Spectators welcome or just come and do a couple of laps, loads of run off area's, short circuit only so good for 120-140 on the straight.

Hi ladies & gents
well we are doing it all again, we must be mad. Thanks to you lot we gave about £20,000 to the charities last year, can you thank all the hero's that helped on the day ,you all know who they are in your clubs, and give them a pat on the back, and then ask them to do it again.

we have done a deal with the BARCELO four star hinckley island hotel the price is £55 for the room with breakfast for two people

www.paramount-hotels.co.uk

it worked last year in the pits so we wont try and mend it again , it’s the same as last year with the six cars in each pit and the others in the outer pits waiting to get on ,all we ask is that you select six cars to go streight into your gate on arrival , pat and Phil will be doing the track again the same guys that did it last year( so no noise meters, but don’t take the piss or he will jump on my head and get the dreaded meter out again).

there were 9 gates open last year and there will be 10 this year as street life TV. want there own gate as they will be filming the whole event , the gits( reverse the name) will have his own gate but we will use the charity gate all day for him.

By the way the charities this year are LAROS, ACORN'S children's hospice, and CLIC, if you could e/mail me back about your numbers this year ( i.e. cars ) as parking is starting to become a bit of a problem which I would like to jump on this year,

Below is a list of people confirmed for this years event so far.
"Leicestershire's best kept secret"
"on your marks"
The nominated charities this year are Laros, Acorn Children's Hospice and Click Sergeant.
On the day, at 1400 we open a special Pitts area and the kids from the charities, and their mums, dads and siblings can go in any car for nothing, and get screamed around the track .

All money's made on this day are split between the three charities,
Ride passenger in a high performance car on its own track for £5
Ride passenger in a high performance rally car on its own track for £5
Ride passenger in a 4x4 land rover on a dedicated 4x4 course for £5
Drive with instruction a 44ton Scania truck on its own track for £5
Drive with instruction, a double deck Scania bus on the lorry track for £5
Drive a twin engine Honda go kart on its own track for £5

Fly passenger in an extreme aerobatic glider £50 / £60 ( to be confirmed ).
Fly passenger in a bell jet ranger helicopter for £30

Below is a list of confirmed participants and clubs for the show :-

Ferrari owners club.
Viper owners club.
corvette owners club
Lotus owners club
Nissan skyline g.t.r club
GT40 owners club
TVR owners club
Subaru owners club
Nissan fairlady owners club
Other car clubs 30 cars
Foss & Watling 4x4 club 20 4x4's (they run the 4x4 course all day )
Cannock Rally Car club 20 cars (they run the rally course all day)
Scania 44 ton artic truck 12 trucks (running on there own track all day)

Street life TV will film the event from start to finish, and hopefully sell that to satellite TV
We are hoping that fast car magazine will be there also, they have indicated interest.
Asda George are going to have a large fashion show to launch their autumn collection at the show. They are also having a sample sale next to their stand, the first time they have done this outside Asda George house ever, and street life TV will film it . Clarins will be there to do make overs for the ladies and other company's are interested as well

We have "The gits" coming (you have to look at that name in reverse). These two professional racing car drivers will be there to give "the ride of your life" in a Noble M15 and an Ariel Atom 2.8 Turbo (0-60 in 2.8 seconds). These two drivers will have their own gate all day as the queues will be massive.

We have been talking to Jeff Fowkes wheels ,and they are bringing Pirelli tyre's with a F1 simulator, and they have other tyre companies interested.

West Midland Ferrari have confirmed they are coming with 3 Ferrari's and two Lamborghini's'
We have a 200mph go-kart, a Ford Fiesta 4x4 with 656bhp under the bonnet that will do 0/60 in 1.8 sec. We are hoping for a bugatti vairron (if he gets it delivered in time).

200yds of miniature steam railway and a miniature steam traction engine that is giving kiddies rides, we are talking to some steam traction engines that you can drive on the day.

At 13:00 hours we shut the track down for an air display that includes :-
Team Guinot, (ex utterly butterlys wing walking display team ).
Team Swift ( a glider & tug display team that is the most extreme we have ever seen ), ie, they do the display tied together.

Tom Cassels ( u.k. aerobatic champion).
And maybe (if we can swing it) the Vulcan bomber xr558 ( as its there home base, and part of the lottery commission rules is that they have to do charity days). This is only a wish. We have talked to them now and it will cost £10,000 for a display ( any one got any ideas on this could you e/mail me)

Back on the track, Jaguar have confirmed they are coming and are bringing , James Bond baddy car from the film never say never again ( with rockets and gattling gun) and Austin powers e/type jag, the shaguar with the number plate SHAG 1 ) and hopefully the rd6 concept car and other cars from browns lane museum in Coventry.

In the main arena we have the fantastic Russ swift "the chap who speed parks mini's at 70 mph", Chris Walton "motorbike stunt display team",

Scania and Volvo will be there showing off their latest trucks , which the kids can climb all over.
We will have a static display of a "bac, lightning jet fighter, and Canberra, from the test pilot school boscombe down, and the kids can climb all over them.

There will be lots of car clubs that just do static displays on the day , and military display vehicles as well,
