U.S. Stereos move in frequency shifts of .1, .3, .5, .7 & .9. U.K. frequencies cover the whole spectrum. There is no way to re-programme the head-unit as far as anyone is aware. I have heard that you can replace the head-unit for a U.K. spec. one though, but don't hold me to it.

it has to be the right stereo so speak to Bob, as it connected to the speedo, that makes the volume increase/decrease as you speed up/slow down

if the wire between the two is disconnected or not wired correctly the speedo doesnt work

stock stereo is a re-badged Alpine, so maybe easiet the route is a straight swap with a more modern UK Alpine

I put an Alpine in mine just because it had the same conections on it for the power...

You will need to make up an RCA to DIN lead for the amp wireing to work..

And you MUST disconect the speed sensitive volume wire otherwise your speedo will not work and can somtimes blow the speedo.....

Amazing, I'm missing out, music in the car!

I upgraded my amps and I still can't hear anything, apart from background noise, above the exhaust and engine.

Stunning that Baz can hear his radio!

I know what you mean Kev, I think it's the sidepipes, Radio is pretty much useless... If I have my side screens in I can hear it a little better, but still have to have it up pretty darn loud to do so & it tends to be only on motorway journeys... the rest of the time the engine/exhaust is all I need to hear... cloud9
