Nigel, your old valve covers!
Discussion
Nigel, do you reconise these old covers now? First I went at them with a grinder, then I stripped them in my kitchen sink, then a mate powder coated them satin black. Total cost was mainly time, helping out neighbours after running die grinder for hours, industrial paint stripper £7 and mate to powder coat for £10.
Hi Nad,
I was just looking at them on the VCA site and wondered if they were the original covers off BLUF.
I didn't need to worry so much about carefully bubble-wrapping each one after all!
A very nice looking finish (even if it might be a slower colour - Oops Dave will be after me for mentioning that). Just make sure there's no swarf left in the corners from the grinding before you fit them.
All the best
