Finally with the car at 14000 miles I've replaced the original factory tires with 2 new Pilots on the front.

What a difference!!! like driving a different car.

Best £480 Ive spent for a while biggrin:

2 more to go then, you wont what it really likes until you do the rears as well, thats were all the forward motion and real grip comes from

since i never go out in the rain, im keen to try the Toyo's 888R's and ditch the pilots next time, got a nice slick area built into the thread pattern

Hey Kev, I need to do the same, just had the tracking done which has made a huge difference and the tyres are next. Where did you get them from for that price? Best quote I've had so far is £520...

Hi Mark,

Actually from my local garage near Cambridge.

There are other topics on here re tires, I believe that Costco are pretty cheap, But £520 is not a bad price, I think I was lucky.

When I first asked pre christmas they were £560, this time the price had dropped to £480, no idea why, but i didn't argue

The Toyo R888 are great, good sizes are for 18" rims, even some choice on wider fronts and playing around with ride height (beware if ABS model though, changing too much from OE diameters). Did some testing start of last year at Silverstone with Toyo, they are pretty good even in the wet, also getting decent millage out of them.
